A Good Day for Texas Breweries!

If you have visited a Texas brewery in the last twelve months or so, you probably know that there has been a big push to allow breweries in Texas to sell beer to go. Bipartisan bills are working their way through the Texas Senate and House (SB 312 and HR 672) that would allow Texas breweries to sell beer for off-premise consumption.

This week, a very exciting agreement has been reached between the Texas Craft Brewers Guild and The Beer Alliance of Texas. The Texas Craft Brewers Guild has been at the forefront of lobbying on behalf of Texas craft breweries in their fight to sell beer to go, through CraftPAC. The Beer Alliance of Texas is an organization that represents the interests of distributors in Texas. With these two groups on the same page, the future of beer to go is looking up!

For more details on how much beer can be produced/sold by breweries and how much beer can be purchased by customers, check out this article from austin360, here.

CraftPAC, a political action committee formed by the Texas Craft Brewers Guild, is urging everyone to continue to make their voices heard. If you have not done so already, please visit CraftPAC to find out how you can make your voice heard.
